Carbohydrates that you won't miss
There are millions of over weight Americans and most of them are not even trying to shed the extra pounds. Of course, most of those that are dieting are attempting to do so with one of the diets that emphasize lowing your intake of carbohydrates. But, for many of us it is simply too much of a challenge, after all we grew up enjoying many of the foods that will have to be restricted in order for the diet to be effective. Instead of trying for themselves, many people do not even make the effort because they are so put off by the idea or lowering or eliminating carbohydrates altogether.
The truth is that there are a great many foods out there that can be eaten while on the diet that anyone can enjoy and be satisfied with. The key to the success on any diet is making the initial and continuos effort to seek out the foods and recipes that we will like. When we have to make a dramatic change in our eating habits such as cutting carbohydrates, it can be made much easier by taking the time necessary to find alternatives that will work for us. You are the only one who knows what you like to eat the best and what recipes you will be satisfied with, you cannot depend solely on a diet counselor to give you the ideas that you need to make your diet a success. If you are intent on shedding those unwanted pounds and feel that lowering your intake of carbohydrates is your best option, then don't fret because there are many wonderful foods that you can still partake of. Here's an example of a very delicious dessert that takes almost no time to prepare and is low in carbohydrates!
You will need:
- 1 teaspoon liquid sweetener
- 1/4 cup espresso
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- cocoa
Mmix the espresso with the sweetener and the vanilla. Use a whisk to beat the ricotta and give it a looser consistency. Whip the cream and fold it into the cheese. Pour in the espresso in a swirl and lightly fold it into the mixture, but leave it streaky. Put this into dessert dishes or wine glasses and dust with the cocoa.
This is so easy and delicious you will not even remember that you are dieting!
